PowerFLARM warns precisely agains other FLARM systems, Mode S transponders with ADS-B and Mode S transponders without ADS-B. Transponder with Mode A / C will also be received and displayed, the analysis of signal strength and the decoding of the Mode C signal still allows calculation of vertical and horizontal distance. Output is both acoustically and through the TFT color display visualy. The presentation specifically designed for powered flight, inspired by current TCAS standards. Built-in interfaces enable the output to compatible display systems (eg. Garmin GPS, FlyMap, SkyMap). Acoustic output via headset audio output and / or integrated speaker. Connection directly to ADS-B capable Mode S transponder is possible. Then this sends the GPS position for ADS-B out.

Please note that the firmware of the PowerFlarm devices must be updated regularly so that the devices can continue to be used. The update is available free of charge in the download area of the FLARM homepage. The update is installed using a commercially available micro SD card. As a rule, the firmware is valid for approx. 1 year. Depending on the production date of the units, it may be necessary to install an update during the first commissioning. Please contact us and we will do this for you before delivery. An SD card prepared with the update can also be purchased from us with item no. 25396.
