Becker Avionics bearer frame GK 615

The Becker GK 615 is a portable VHF aviation radio station with an aluminium housing and an integrated AR 6201 transceiver. This package includes the radio station, microphone, battery, charger and carrying accessories. It is suitable for mobile communication tasks, portable use at airfields and operation as a vehicle station.

The aluminium housing combines the transceiver and power supply in a transportable unit. A carrying handle makes the station easier to move. The included carrying bag with shoulder strap provides transport between operating locations. A vehicle mount is also supplied.

The integrated Becker AR 6201 supports 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing. The station belongs to the 6 W RF power class of the GK615 series. Frequency selection and operation are handled at the front of the transceiver. The LCD shows the active frequency and, depending on the operating mode, the standby frequency or memory channel.

A PTT button is located on the front panel of the carrying frame. It allows transmission to be activated when using a suitable headset without its own push-to-talk button. A microphone is also included in this package.

The battery enables portable operation, and a battery charger is supplied for recharging. A suitable antenna and connections compatible with the intended communication accessories must also be considered when planning the installation.

A recorder output for voice recording and a control interface are available as options. These functions are not automatically included in the stated package.

The station measures 277 × 165 × 85 mm and weighs approximately 4 kg. For use in aircraft or balloons, the specific equipment variant must meet the requirements of the intended installation and application.
