The Flymap system is a high-end navigation system for light aviation. The high-brightness display ensures optimal readability, even in low light conditions.Basic features:Touch ScreenThe entire operation is done using the high quality touch-screen system, which acts very intuitive.Map displayThe map display is either in the "Course Up" or "North Up" mode. All display windows can be freely configured. If you choose "Course Up" the card rotates around the airplane symbol, which is always at the bottom of the map. The visible area in front of the symbol is therefore very large which allows you to have a great overview.Visual approach chartsBy tapping the airfield on the map you open the traffic pattern overlay in the ICAO chart. The visual approach charts are displayed true to scale on the map. Once the aircraft reaches the edge of the displayed visual approach chart, the traffic pattern is automatically switched to an optimum size. All Flymap functions, such as zooming and panning the map are still available.Terrain DisplayFlymap shows elevations using different colors. The terrain display appears once you come below 1000ft AGL.Yellow areas:Height above ground level is between 100 ft and 500 ftRed areas:Height above ground level is less than 100 ft, or the terrain is higher than the current altitude.Airspace warningFlymap highlights airspace boundaries very clearly. Depending on your current altitude, all important airspace data are displayed automatically.Advanced features:TCASFor your safety Flymap offers an optional TCAS connection. Target selectionThe selection of the target can either be made using Flymap Aviation functions, or by searching for cities, streets or similar facilities.Target AreaThe area around the destination is shown as a vector map-overlay on the chart. The destination is always in focus which ensures an optimal arrangement of the map. The Zoom factor can be changed at any time using the + and - buttons.Extensions:Artificial HorizonFully electronic position sensor magnetometer (AHRS) system. This system provides in addition to the display of the location also the heading of the aircraft. The weight for the entire horizon system is only 300 g.Satellite PhoneGet the current wheater information by using the satellite phone.Panel KitA panel kit and a 3D drawing for panel mounting are available.Power / GPSThe device only requires 12-40 VDC and a GPS receiver. The GPS is included.Specs:Multi-function displayScreen: 6.4-inch diagonal / approx. 162 mmVisible area about 132 mm x 97 mmHigh brightness display > 1000cd/m2Operation: High quality Touch SensorRotary knobs for screen brightnessMemory module connector on the frontOperation without rotating mass storage (Solid State)Material: Aluminum body, black anodizedVoltage: 12 V to 28 V DC supply, automatic adjustmentSize: 158 x 120 x 50 mmWeight: 980 gPackage includes:FlymapLGPS antennadigital ICAO chart Germanydigital approach charts GermanyHarness
