Becker Avionics Transceiver AR 6211

The Becker Avionics AR6211 is an exceptionally compact and professional VHF/AM aviation transceiver with 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing, designed for installation in a standard 58 mm / 2¼-inch round instrument cutout. As the successor to the proven AR6201, the AR6211 combines the compact design of the Becker 6200 Series with modern DSP technology, Dual Watch, an integrated intercom and the higher Design Assurance Level C (DAL C).

The unit is designed as a single-block transceiver. Radio, display and controls are integrated into one housing, so no separate control unit is required for normal operation.

8.33 kHz and 25 kHz Channel Spacing

The AR6211 supports both 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing throughout the frequency range from 118.000 to 136.990 MHz.

It provides 760 channels in 25 kHz mode and up to 2,280 channels in 8.33 kHz mode.

An AUX audio input allows external audio signals to be integrated into the cockpit audio system.

For example, warning signals from other compatible avionics equipment can be reproduced through the connected headsets.

Powerful Loudspeaker Output

The integrated loudspeaker output provides at least 4 W into 4 ohms.

With an appropriate installation, a suitable cockpit loudspeaker can therefore be driven directly.

Adjustable Squelch

The squelch threshold can be adjusted according to the respective operating conditions.

Compact 58 mm Format

A major advantage of the AR6211 is its compact design.

With front dimensions of approximately 61 × 61 mm, it fits into a standard 58 mm / 2¼-inch round instrument cutout.

This makes the AR6211 particularly suitable for aircraft where instrument panel space is limited.

Wide Supply Voltage Range

The supply voltage range is 10.25 to 33 V DC.

Tandem and Remote Operation

The AR6211 already features a fully integrated control panel and does not require a separate control unit for normal operation.

For suitable installations, however, a compatible Becker Avionics RCU6211 Remote Control Unit can be added.

This allows an additional control position to be provided, for example in gliders, motor gliders, training aircraft and other aircraft with tandem cockpit configurations.
