Becker Avionics Transceiver RT 6211, 10 W

The Becker Avionics RT6211, 10 W is a high-performance, remotely installed VHF/AM aviation transceiver with 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing, designed for professional and demanding avionics installations. As an advanced development of the proven RT6201, the RT6211 features an increased Design Assurance Level C (DAL C), meeting more stringent requirements for the development and certification of safety-related avionics systems.

Unlike a conventional panel-mounted aviation radio, the RT6211 has no integrated control panel. The radio module is installed at a suitable location within the aircraft and controlled via a separate control unit, such as the Becker RCU6211.

This remote concept provides exceptional installation flexibility and is ideal for cockpits where instrument panel space is limited or where the transceiver needs to be installed at another location within the aircraft.

DAL C – Designed for Demanding Avionics Integrations

A major difference compared with the RT6201 is the increased Design Assurance Level C.

8.33 kHz and 25 kHz Channel Spacing

The RT6211 supports both modern 8.33 kHz and conventional 25 kHz channel spacing.

The frequency range extends from 118.000 to 136.990 MHz.

Up to 760 channels are available in 25 kHz operation and up to 2,280 channels in 8.33 kHz operation.

The radio therefore meets the requirements for European 8.33 kHz aviation communication.

Up to 10 W Transmitter Output

The high-power version of the RT6211 provides an RF transmitter output of:

at least 6 W with a 12/14 V electrical system

at least 10 W with a 28 V electrical system

The RT6211 therefore provides particularly high transmitter output when operated in a 28 V aircraft electrical system and is well suited to installations requiring a powerful VHF communication solution.

Dual Watch / SCAN Mode

The RT6211 supports Becker's Dual Watch function, also referred to as SCAN Mode.

This allows a second frequency to be monitored in addition to the active frequency.

For example, the pilot can communicate on the active frequency while simultaneously monitoring the standby frequency for incoming transmissions.

Integrated 4-Place Intercom

The 10 W version of the Becker 6200 Series features an integrated VOX-controlled 4-place intercom.

The intercom provides two separate intercom circuits and supports separate Push-to-Talk functions for pilot and co-pilot.

In many installations, this can eliminate the need for a separate intercom system.

The system can be adapted to different microphone, headset and cockpit configurations.

External Audio Input

The integrated AUX audio input allows additional audio signals to be connected to the aircraft audio system.

Loudspeaker Output

In addition to the headset outputs, the 6200 Series provides a powerful loudspeaker output.
