David Clark H10-13X
Product information "David Clark H10-13X"
The David Clark H10-13X is a classic aviation headset with Electronic Noise Cancelling (ENC), combining the proven rugged design of the David Clark H10 series with active noise reduction. It is particularly suitable for pilots who value reliable communication, high passive noise attenuation and additional electronic noise reduction.
Even without ENC activated, the H10-13X provides 23 dB of passive noise reduction. With Electronic Noise Cancelling switched on, low-frequency cockpit and engine noise is reduced by an additional 17 to 22 dB. This is particularly effective at reducing the typical low-frequency noise generated in propeller aircraft.
For clear voice transmission, the headset is equipped with the proven David Clark M-7A electret microphone. The noise-cancelling microphone reduces distracting ambient noise during transmission and ensures clear communication via radio and intercom.
The patented Flex/Wire microphone boom allows easy and precise positioning of the microphone in front of the mouth. The flexible boom can be adjusted as required and allows the microphone to be worn on either the left or right side.
For a high level of comfort, the H10-13X features soft Comfort-Gel ear seals. These completely surround the ears while also contributing to passive noise attenuation. The super-soft, double-foam head pad distributes pressure evenly and provides a comfortable fit even during longer flights.
The Electronic Noise Cancelling system is powered by a 9 V battery housed in a separate battery module. One battery provides up to 25 hours of operation. A pilot-selectable automatic shut-off function helps prevent unnecessary battery consumption.
The H10-13X is stereo compatible and can be switched between stereo and mono operation using an integrated selector switch. This allows the headset to be used with both conventional mono intercom systems and compatible stereo intercom and entertainment systems.
The rugged steel and impact-resistant ABS construction is designed for long-term use in daily flight operations. Typical of David Clark, the H10-13X combines durable construction with proven comfort and excellent spare parts availability.
