David Clark JET-X

The David Clark DC JET-X is an ultra-lightweight aviation headset with active noise cancellation, specifically designed for professional and airline pilots. Weighing only approximately 128 g without the cable, it combines an exceptionally lightweight and compact on-ear design with powerful Electronic Noise Cancelling (ENC) technology, excellent comfort and clear voice transmission.

David Clark's Electronic Noise Cancelling (ENC) technology effectively reduces distracting cockpit and aircraft noise. Integrated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology supports active noise cancellation while providing clear, high-quality audio reproduction for radio communications.

A key feature of the DC JET-X is its ultra-lightweight Rest-On-Ear design. Unlike conventional, larger over-ear aviation headsets, the ear seals rest directly on the ears. This keeps the headset particularly lightweight and compact – a significant advantage for pilots who wear their headset for many hours at a time.

The soft Dura-Stitched leatherette ear seals with slow-recovery foam rest comfortably on the ears while helping to reduce heat build-up. The head pad incorporates proven Outlast® technology to absorb excess heat. Its breathable and ventilated design provides additional comfort, particularly during long flights.

The fully adjustable headband and suspension assembly allows the headset to be individually adapted to the pilot. Despite its extremely low weight, the construction is designed to meet the demands of regular professional flight operations.

For clear voice transmission, the DC JET-X features a high-performance M-5B electret microphone with enhanced noise cancellation. The flexible microphone boom allows quick and precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth.

The ENC system is powered by just one AA battery, providing up to 50 hours of operating time. The enhanced Auto Shutoff function helps prevent unnecessary battery drain if the headset is accidentally left switched on after a flight.

The control module also features a USB-C port, allowing the headset to be powered externally using a USB-C cable. When a suitable rechargeable battery is used, it can also be charged via the USB-C interface.

This version of the DC JET-X is equipped with the standard dual plugs (PJ-055 / PJ-068) commonly used in General Aviation aircraft, making it suitable for appropriately equipped aircraft.

The David Clark DC JET-X is FAA TSO-C139a approved and comes with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
