David Clark C-17 Aviation Headset

Product information "David Clark C-17 Aviation Headset"

The David Clark C-17 Aviation Headset is a rugged passive aviation headset specifically designed for use in the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III. It combines the proven construction of classic David Clark headsets with effective passive noise attenuation, excellent comfort and reliable voice transmission.

The headset relies entirely on passive noise attenuation and therefore requires no batteries or external power supply. The large over-ear ear cups, combined with high-quality ear seals, provide a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 23 dB, effectively reducing distracting ambient, cockpit and aircraft noise.

For clear and reliable voice transmission, the C-17 headset features the proven David Clark M-7A noise-cancelling electret microphone. The microphone reduces distracting background noise during transmission, helping to ensure clear communication via radio and intercom.

The Universal Flex Boom allows easy and precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth. The flexible microphone boom can be individually adjusted and reliably maintains its position.

For a high level of comfort, the C-17 Aviation Headset features large, undercut Comfort-Gel ear seals. They completely surround the ears, provide a comfortable fit and contribute significantly to the headset's passive noise attenuation.

The enlarged, exceptionally soft double-foam head pad distributes the weight of the headset evenly across the head and helps reduce uncomfortable pressure points during extended periods of use.

The low-profile volume control with detent settings allows the listening volume to be adjusted quickly and easily.

The rugged construction is designed for long service life and regular use under demanding operating conditions. The molded connection cable is also engineered to withstand high levels of pulling and bending stress.

This version features an approximately 1.5 m / 5 ft. extended coil cord with U-174/U connector and is specifically designed for the corresponding C-17 communication system.

The David Clark C-17 Aviation Headset exceeds RTCA/DO-214 standards.
