David Clark PRO-2

The David Clark DC PRO-2 is an exceptionally lightweight and compact passive aviation headset specifically designed for use in commercial and transport aircraft with relatively low cockpit noise levels. Weighing only approximately 227 g without the cable, it combines a comfortable Rest-On-Ear design with reliable voice transmission and the rugged construction for which David Clark is renowned.

Unlike active ANR or ENC headsets, the DC PRO-2 relies entirely on passive noise reduction. It therefore requires no batteries or external power supply. By eliminating active electronics, the headset remains particularly lightweight, simple to operate and low-maintenance.

The DC PRO-2 was specifically developed for low-noise jet cockpits. Its compact Rest-On-Ear design provides less acoustic isolation than a conventional over-ear aviation headset, resulting in an exceptionally lightweight and comfortable fit.

Please note: Due to its Rest-On-Ear design, the DC PRO-2 is not intended for high-noise cockpit environments such as piston-engine aircraft. David Clark recommends this model primarily for use in commercial and transport jets with lower cockpit noise levels.

A key feature of the DC PRO-2 is its lightweight Rest-On-Ear / On-Ear design. The ear seals rest on the ears rather than completely surrounding them. This helps reduce heat build-up and keeps the headset comfortable even during extended periods of use.

The ultra-soft Dura-Stitched leatherette ear seals conform comfortably to the contours of the ears. The pivoting suspension assemblies provide a secure fit while maintaining low clamping pressure.

The low-profile head pad features proven Outlast® technology. The heat-absorbing and ventilated material absorbs excess heat and helps reduce heat build-up and discomfort during longer flights.

The rugged yet lightweight metal alloy headband and suspension assembly is fully adjustable. Despite its low weight, the headset is designed to meet the demands of regular professional flight operations.

For clear voice transmission, the DC PRO-2 features a high-performance noise-cancelling electret microphone. The flexible microphone boom allows quick and precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth.

Independent volume controls for the left and right ear allow the listening level to be individually adjusted for each side.

This version of the David Clark DC PRO-2 features standard aviation dual plugs and an approximately 1.5 m / 5 ft. straight connection cable.

Thanks to its foldable design, the DC PRO-2 can be stored compactly and conveniently transported in the supplied David Clark headset bag.

The David Clark DC PRO-2 is FAA TSO-C139a approved and comes with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.
