David Clark H10-66 XL

The David Clark H10-66XL is an exceptionally rugged Electronic Noise Cancelling (ENC) aviation headset with switchable High/Low Impedance. Designed for demanding aircrew and ground crew applications, it combines the proven construction of the David Clark H10 series with electronic noise reduction and the flexibility to adapt to different communication systems.

A key feature of the H10-66XL is its Electronic Noise Cancelling (ENC) technology. The electronic system complements the headset's passive noise attenuation and particularly reduces distracting low-frequency noise commonly encountered in aircraft and other high-noise operating environments. This helps reduce acoustic fatigue and improves the intelligibility of radio and intercom communications.

Another major advantage is the switchable High/Low Impedance configuration. A switch located on the ear cup allows the headset to be adapted to compatible communication systems with either high or low impedance. This makes the H10-66XL suitable for a wide range of compatible military and civilian communication systems.

The ENC electronics are powered by a separate portable battery module using one 9-volt battery. A single battery provides up to 25 hours of operation. A pilot-selectable Automatic Shut-Off function helps prevent unnecessary battery drain when the headset is not in use.

For clear and reliable voice transmission, the H10-66XL features a noise-cancelling dynamic microphone. The Hybrid Flex/Wire microphone boom can rotate up to 280° and allows precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth.

For a high level of comfort, the H10-66XL is equipped with large, undercut Comfort-Gel ear seals. They completely surround the ears, provide a comfortable fit and contribute to the headset's passive noise attenuation.

The exceptionally soft foam head pad distributes the weight of the headset evenly across the head and helps provide a comfortable fit during extended periods of use.

The rugged construction of the H10-66XL is specifically designed for demanding professional and military operating conditions. Typical applications include aircrew and ground crew operations with the U.S. Armed Forces, NATO and airborne command centers.
