David Clark H10-76
Product information "David Clark H10-76"
The David Clark H10-76 is an exceptionally rugged passive Low-Impedance Aviation Headset designed for professional use in military aircraft and compatible communication systems. It is one of David Clark's classic aircrew headsets and is intended for applications requiring low-impedance headphones and a low-impedance dynamic microphone.
The H10-76 is used in military aviation applications including U.S. Armed Forces, NATO and other military aviation organizations. Its rugged construction is designed for demanding operating conditions and reliable communication during both flight and ground operations.
The headset relies entirely on passive noise attenuation and requires no batteries or external power supply. The large over-ear ear cups, combined with high-quality ear seals, provide a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24 dB, effectively reducing distracting cockpit, engine and ambient noise.
For clear and reliable voice transmission, the H10-76 features the proven David Clark M-87 / DC-87 dynamic noise-cancelling microphone. The microphone meets the requirements of the MIL-M-26542/2 USAF specification and is specifically designed to provide reliable communication in high-noise environments.
The microphone has a low impedance of 5 Ohms, making the H10-76 suitable for compatible low-impedance military communication systems.
The headphones are also designed for low-impedance systems. The two dynamic 19-Ohm earphone elements are connected in parallel, resulting in a nominal headphone impedance of approximately 10 Ohms.
The rugged Hinged Wire Boom allows precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth and is designed to withstand the demands of regular professional use.
For a high level of comfort, the H10-76 features large, undercut Comfort-Gel ear seals. They completely surround the ears, provide a comfortable fit and contribute significantly to the headset's passive noise attenuation.
The enlarged, exceptionally soft double-foam head pad distributes the weight of the headset evenly across the head and helps reduce pressure points during extended periods of use.
The volume control located on the ear cup allows the listening volume to be adjusted quickly and easily.
This version of the H10-76 features an approximately 1.5 m / 5 ft. extended coil cord with U-174/U connector.
The rugged construction of the H10-76 is designed for long service life under demanding operating conditions and is suitable for aircrew applications as well as compatible ground-support communication systems.
Important: Despite using a U-174/U connector, the H10-76 is not directly compatible with all standard civilian high-impedance helicopter intercom systems due to its low-impedance configuration. The required impedance of the respective communication system should always be verified before use.

Compatibility Note:
The David Clark H10-76 is a Low-Impedance headset. The U-174/U connector is used with various military as well as civilian communication systems and therefore does not by itself guarantee compatibility.
The H10-76 should only be used with communication or intercom systems designed for the corresponding low headphone and microphone impedance. For typical civilian high-impedance helicopter intercom systems, a model such as the David Clark H10-13H is generally the more appropriate choice.
Scope of Delivery:
David Clark H10-76 Aviation Headset
