The Lightspeed Zulu 4 Aviation Headset with LEMO connector combines powerful active noise reduction with a high level of comfort, reliable communication and modern Dual Bluetooth connectivity. As the latest evolution of the proven Zulu series, the Zulu 4 has been further improved particularly in terms of comfort, Bluetooth functionality and voice transmission.
The powerful Active Noise Reduction (ANR) reduces distracting cockpit and aircraft noise, helping to ensure clear communication via radio and intercom. At the same time, the combination of active and passive noise reduction contributes to a more comfortable acoustic environment in the cockpit.
For a high level of comfort, even on longer flights, the Zulu 4 features the new FrameFit™ ear seals. These have been specially designed to improve the fit of the headset, particularly when wearing glasses or sunglasses. The ear seals adapt to the area around the ear, jaw and glasses temples, helping to maintain an even seal around the ear cups.
The integrated Dual Bluetooth interface allows two compatible devices to be connected wirelessly to the headset at the same time. For example, a smartphone and tablet can remain connected simultaneously. Bluetooth enables phone calls, music streaming and the playback of audio alerts from compatible aviation apps.
Another new feature of the Zulu 4 is improved voice transmission during Bluetooth connections. AI-assisted signal processing can reduce distracting background noise in outgoing Bluetooth transmissions by up to 90%, improving speech intelligibility during phone calls from a noisy cockpit environment.
The microphone boom has been extended by 10% compared to the previous model, allowing the microphone to be positioned more flexibly and precisely in front of the mouth. In addition, the connection cable is 20% longer, providing greater freedom of movement and additional flexibility when used in the cockpit.
The ComPriority™ function helps pilots avoid missing important radio communications by automatically reducing the volume of additional audio sources when radio or intercom transmissions are received.
This version of the Lightspeed Zulu 4 is equipped with a 6-pin LEMO connector. In aircraft equipped with a compatible LEMO socket, the headset can be powered directly by the aircraft's electrical system. This eliminates the need for battery power during normal operation.
The robust design and high-quality materials are engineered for long-term use in aviation. Lightspeed provides a 7-year manufacturer's warranty for the Zulu 4.
