The Sennheiser HME 110 ATC is a rugged passive aviation headset designed for professional Air Traffic Control (ATC) applications as well as General Aviation. Its closed, over-ear design combines effective passive noise attenuation with excellent speech intelligibility and comfortable long-term wear.

The HME 110 ATC relies entirely on passive noise attenuation and therefore requires no batteries or external power supply for the headphones. The closed ear cups effectively reduce distracting ambient and cockpit noise and provide a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 24 dB.

Passive noise attenuation is frequency-dependent and ranges from more than 10 dB up to 40 dB. This makes the headset particularly suitable for applications where reliable communication and effective isolation from ambient noise are required.

For clear and reliable voice transmission, the HME 110 ATC features the proven Sennheiser MKE 45-1 noise-compensated electret microphone. The unidirectional microphone reduces distracting ambient noise during transmission and helps provide excellent speech intelligibility for radio, intercom and ATC communications.

The flexible microphone boom allows precise positioning of the microphone directly in front of the mouth. The microphone can be worn on either the left or right side, allowing the headset to be adapted to the user's individual preference.

For a high level of comfort, the HME 110 ATC features extra-soft, circumaural ear pads and a padded headband. The closed over-ear design completely surrounds the ears and contributes significantly to the headset's passive noise attenuation.

Weighing approximately 350 g without the cable, the HME 110 ATC combines rugged construction with comfortable wear for extended periods of use.

The volume control located on the ear cup allows the listening volume to be adjusted quickly and easily.

The headset can be switched between Mono and Stereo operation, providing additional flexibility when used with appropriately equipped audio and intercom systems.

This version features an approximately 1.5 m connection cable with standard aviation dual plugs. The headphones are connected via a 6.35 mm jack plug, while the microphone uses a 5.25 mm / PJ-068-compatible plug.
