Sennheiser HMEC 26, without mains
Product information "Sennheiser HMEC 26, without mains"
The Sennheiser HMEC 26 is an exceptionally lightweight and comfortable aviation headset with active NoiseGard™ noise compensation, designed for professional use in aircraft cockpits. It combines effective active noise reduction with low weight, excellent long-term comfort and clear voice transmission.
This version is supplied without a connection cable. Thanks to its modular cable system, the HMEC 26 can be combined with various separately available connection cables, allowing it to be adapted to different aircraft connectors and power supply configurations.
The integrated NoiseGard™ Active Noise Compensation reduces distracting ambient noise by up to 18 dB, particularly in the low-frequency range. This allows radio and intercom audio to be heard clearly at lower volume levels, helping to reduce acoustic fatigue during extended periods of use.
NoiseGard™ can be switched off if required. The HMEC 26 can then continue to be used as a conventional passive aviation headset.
The closed dynamic earphone systems rest on the ears and combine a compact design with effective passive noise attenuation. Weighing only approximately 210 g without the connection cable, the HMEC 26 is considerably lighter than many conventional over-ear ANR headsets, making it particularly comfortable for longer flights and professional operations.
The patented two-piece automatic headband provides excellent long-term comfort. It automatically adapts to the shape of the head when the headset is put on. Soft ear pads and low contact pressure contribute to a comfortable fit even during extended periods of use.
One earphone can be swivelled backwards for single-sided listening, allowing the pilot to hear direct conversations or ambient sounds without completely removing the headset.
For clear and reliable voice transmission, the HMEC 26 features a noise-compensated condenser microphone. It is specifically designed to provide excellent speech intelligibility even in demanding cockpit environments.
The flexible microphone boom allows precise positioning of the microphone in front of the mouth. Thanks to its swivelling design, the microphone can be worn on either the left or right side.
Integrated Peak Level Protection protects the user's hearing against sudden volume peaks above 110 dB, providing additional comfort and protection during operation.
The power supply for the NoiseGard™ electronics depends on the connection cable or power supply module being used. Depending on the configuration, NoiseGard™ can be powered by the aircraft electrical system or by batteries/rechargeable batteries. An Auto Shut-Off function helps extend battery life with appropriately equipped battery-powered configurations.
The modular design offers an additional advantage: the connection cable can be easily replaced, allowing the headset to be adapted to different applications, aircraft and connector systems.
