The portable solution featuring a high-performance FLARM transmitter and receiver, transponder receiver, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
Also of interest to glider pilots thanks to its built-in IGC and ENL.
Warnings are displayed in the proven LED ring, while situational awareness is shown on the small graphic screen. The device has a battery compartment for a standard lithium-ion battery and runs for at least one day of flying. Charging is done directly in the device using a USB-C charging cable.
The PowerFLARM Flex’s user interface makes configuration simple and intuitive. The interface can be accessed directly from any smartphone, tablet, or computer/Mac.
This allows you to perform firmware updates, update the obstacle database, and activate features, as well as save IGC files directly to your computer or mobile device.
PowerFLARM Flex offers a wide range of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection options and can be paired with popular navigation systems such as Air Navigation Pro, SkyDemon, ForeFlight, EasyVFR, iPilot, and XC Soar.
In addition to the FLARM data protocol (ICD), the GDL 90 protocol is supported, which is used by many apps by default.
The device’s design and dimensions allow for direct mounting on the instrument panel. The device is an ideal replacement for the Clas units—some of which are already 20 years old—mounted on many glider instrument panels.
